I'm Martin, a physiotherapist, strength coach, former athlete, and the founder of the Health and Performance Training Club.
Having worked for many years as a physiotherapist across Europe in traditional settings, I discovered that many common daily issues, such as low energy, joint pain, or painful lower back, can be effectively addressed through proper strength training, nutrition, and lifestyle adjustments.
I aim to create a concept that bridges the gap between conventional physiotherapy, functional medicine, and strength training to empower individuals to become strong, healthy, and pain-free.
To bring this concept to life, I've traveled the world collaborating with neurosurgeons, chiropractors, Olympic and UFC coaches, Functional medicine practitioners, and other leading experts. Now, based in Amsterdam, my team and I are here to support you on your journey to improved health, wellness, and performance.

Since childhood, basketball has been my passion, and I've always dreamed of becoming a professional athlete. However, at the age of 17, a significant knee injury and many subsequent surgeries abruptly ended my playing career, prematurely ending my dreams. This experience fueled my determination to pursue a career in physiotherapy, aiming to help individuals facing similar injuries and prevent others from experiencing a similar fate.
After many years of working in conventional physiotherapy settings in the Czech Republic, Spain, and the Netherlands, I discovered that many issues people struggle with daily, such as low energy, sore joints, or painful lower back, can be effectively addressed by getting stronger and improving nutrition. At that point, I shifted my focus and decided to start studying strength training to enhance my physiotherapy services. To make this happen, I traveled the world, learning from leading experts in the field, such as one of the most renowned strength and conditioning coaches in the UFC, Phil Daru, Olympic coach from Germany Wolfgang Unsoeld, or close partner and one of the best students of Charles Poliquin, widely regarded as one of the greatest strength coaches ever, Carlos Castro.
During that time, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition, experiencing extreme fatigue, mood swings, and anxiety. This led me to understand the intricate nature of the human body, realizing that well-being involves more than just exercise and dieting. I delved into studying functional medicine, nutrition, and effective supplementation. Eventually, I aimed to create a concept that integrates strength training, physiotherapy, functional medicine, and nutrition, thus giving rise to Health and Performance.
